Children's Rights In The Pandemic

The covid-19 crisis continues to threaten to devastate the whole world, economies, our lifestyle, people and as well as children. We should be aware that the covid-19 is having a destructive effect on children, with potentially substantial negative impacts. When covid-19 started, students around the world are feeling traumatize because of the fact that schools are shutting down and quarantine procedures are being ordered to subsist with the covid-19 pandemic, wherein most children can’t go out. We are all facing a lot of new stresses and through all of that children are particularly vulnerable.

More than 1.5 billion students were out of school due to covid-19. Students being unable to have face-to-face classes and meeting their friends brought challenges to the students’ learning process and health. As a response to the school closure the government provided innovative solutions for students to continue to learn and progress even amidst the covid-19 pandemic. Disruptions to society have a heavy impact on children and their families: their health, their well-being and their future. Children and youth may face higher levels of anxiety and stress during the covid-19 pandemic. Strategies to help your children during this time include actions you can take as a parent, action you can help your children take, and family-oriented activities. It is important to keep the children healthy and well-nourished. If children are at high risk, they may need extra accommodations to stay safe.

In addition, measures used to prevent and control the spread of covid-19 can expose children to protection risks. Infectious diseases like covid-19 could result in loss of parental care due to health, violence, neglect or exploitation. Nevertheless, organizations around the world are undertaking a number of activities to explore methods for evaluating the potential impact of covid-19 on a number of areas of child protection and to promote guidance to parents, and educators to ensure that children are safe, healthy and learning.

  1. Hello. You made correct statements, children shouldn't be experiencing abuse and other negative things no matter what. It is no doubt that children should be treated well, educated properly and protected so that they may have great lives in the future. Keep up the good work in your blog.
